Forum Rules
Welcome to Ninstation. Your participation in these free forums is contingent on following some basic rules:

  • Keep it civil. Debating is fine, but rudeness, insulting posts, personal attacks or purposeless inflammatory posts won't be tolerated.
  • Make your post worthwhile. One word or one sentence posts that contribute nothing to the thread are frowned upon. Please have something to say.
  • Please write legibly. We value proper written English here, and writing legibly respects your readers, especially if you're asking for help. Posts horribly mangled by "netspeak" may be deleted.
  • English only, please. This is an English-speaking forum.
  • No trolling. If you're here just to stir up trouble, we don't want you
  • No double-posting. This means posting again in a thread immediately after your last post, with no one else having posted since. Please edit your previous post instead if you have more to say. Double-posts will be auto-merged.
  • No spam. If you have something yourself to sell, please use the dedicated buy/sell/trade forum. Posts linking to eBay or other commercial sites will be removed.
  • No porn or nudity. Risque material, while ok, should be wrapped in spoiler tags in respect for our younger members.
  • No discussion of mod chips or copyright infringement. There are laws to respect here, whether you agree with them or not.
  • Homebrew discussion is restricted to those topics covered in the Homebrew FAQ
  • One account per user. No exceptions.
  • Keep it on-topic. Respect the subject matter of the forum you're posting in.
  • No hi-jacking of threads. Don't post to someone else's thread with something that has nothing to do with the topic of that thread. Start your own thread.
  • Respect the mods. They were given the task for a reason.
  • All Friend Code sharing goes in the dedicated forum. Keep the begging/exchanging of FCs out of other threads/forums.
  • No thread bumping. This means posting for the sole purpose of bringing the thread to the top of the list.
  • Do your homework. Please check Google, this forum's own search function, the board stickies and the Support section of Nintendo.com before posting your question. The majority of questions have already been answered and there's no need to clutter the forums needlessly with repeat posts.
  • Don't dupe/crosspost threads. If you have a question/topic, post once in the appropriate forum only. If you accidentally post in the wrong forum, ask that the thread be moved.
  • No advertising. While we all love to learn about new websites, advertising/promoting/begging for sites that compete with Ninstation is not allowed. We are a successful and active forum, and so using this platform to send people elsewhere for the same discussions is not appropriate or in our best interest.
  • No clans. Unfortunately clan advertising and posting wars have ruined many a forum, so we're forced to ban them here in order to provide a quality forum.
  • Respect that we're a Nintendo fan forum. While we appreciate the fact that many of our members own multiple consoles, Ninstation first and foremost is a Nintendo fan forum. It is expected that all our members own a Nintendo console and/or handheld, and for the most part are a fan. It's ok to be occasionally critical, but if you're just here to bash Nintendo, there are plenty of XBox and Playstation forums out there. We are not one of them.
  • Be sure to Read The FAQ
  • Terms to NOT use: While there is an (optional) censor system in place for curses and such, there are some almost universally-offensive terms I ask that you do not use at all, for the sake of the forum and others. Do not go around them. g-y, f-g, c-nt, and n-gg-r, as well as any racial or sexual-orientation slurs.
