Heard about this a while back, sometime during the summer when I was living in Wisconsin, about the only thing that really sparked my interest was the yoshi thing. Loved the first one but I still prefer my Super Mario World and the other side scrolling Marios.

Super Mario World was the best Mario game OF ALL TIME. I own a SNES and that game. I love it. So much. I spent like 60 bucks on it but I'd do it all over again. It was practically new, and glorious.

Haha awesome and I totally agree with you, 3d and sparkling graphics are nice, but SMW is still the best, I've had my copy from when I got a SNES for Christmas all those years ago, same with my Castlevania 4 (another one of my favs and best SNES games IMO)

You guys ever looked at the title screen on Galaxy? You may know this already but I felt like bringing it up since we were on this subject but if you look at the screen where it says Super Mario Galaxy and look at the letters that sparkle it spells out something: U R MR GAY

I do think NSMBWii is better than Super Mario World. The replacement of the cape with the propeller hat might make it somewhat questionable. I'm sure it will always be debatable but at the moment I'm leaning in favor of the wii incarnation.

On topic, I looked at this article the other day and honestly half that stuff I don't agree with. I've seen better lists from IGN. It seems like the popular thing to do to hate on them recently, and I'm trying to remain unbiased but it's hard.

Well, of course I did some digging around, and the release date is in June of 2010. (supposedly)

Ok, I doubt this is true, but it was too good to pass up:

NGamer posted a tweet saying Sonic would be in SMG2!

Quote
“We’ve just had some shocking news from an inside source at Nintendo: Sonic will be a playable character in Mario Galaxy 2! Wha?…More teasing from our insider: Sonic levels will be in ‘Green Hill Galaxy’…”

Source

Sounds crazy, but Nintendo thrown us curveballs before...

(A) “Zelda’s going cel-shaded? No way!”
(B) “Metroid? A FPS? No way!”
(C) “Snake and Sonic in Brawl? No way!”
(D) “They’re gonna call it the WII?! No way!”
(E) "Vitality Sensor? No way!"

I don't know anything about NGamer... are they reliable?

I can't believe that until it's confirmed.
