Just announced at E3. Mostly looks like the original SMG but with some enhancements. Sure to appeal to fans of SMG.

Shigeru Miyamoto, from Nintendo Power:

Quote
I do believe that there is a lot here to appeal to the more veteran and more experienced gamers, and I think it’s a title that they will obviously enjoy, but I really took it into consideration and tried to do our best to create a game that’s accessible to new gamers as well. And, you know, we also built it with consideration that we believe that people who played through the first Mario Galaxy have become better players.

Playing through the first one again as Luigi, its just such a pure simple fun game. Looks great too. Bring on Yoshi.

Yeah, this is my most anticipated Wii game right now. SMG was just magical for me. Best game this generation IMO.

All these people claiming it was too easy are foolish, if I went back and played Mario 64 I could breeze through it just as easily. My roommate is a 360 guy and he's only played two games on my wii. World of Goo (probably my most magical gaming experience this generation) and SMG.

I liked SMG but then it got old for me. I won't purchase this immeadiatly, but then wait for a price drop and check it out. I might keep this one though, instead of a buy, beat, and sell thing i usually do.

This one looks pretty good. I probably will buy it at launch, but I'm not entirely sure.

Price drop? Well, you best be waiting for a while. I don't think the first Galaxy has had a price drop yet. (not where i live, anyway) maybe buy it used at gamestop or somewhere else.
One word for this game (being the first sequel to a Mario 3-d platformer)- splendorous!

First party titles don't tend to save you much buying used. Mario Galaxy is like $40-45 bucks used probably right now. That is why gamestop is evil, their profit margins for used games are obscene.

I might pick this up, but I'm not sure. It looks way too similar to the first SMG...
And I've already breezed through SMG about 5 times (too easy... seriously!).
I might pick it up when there's a price drop, but not too keen on it at the moment...

Miyamoto said that the second one will be more challenging assuming players have played through the first and can handle it. Plus it'll have Yoshi. YOSHI!
